Mario Chabot
Mario Chabot was born in spite of himself. During his first 50 years on earth, he has worked as a screenwriter, producer and director; a children’s playwright; an actor, improviser, and comedian; a musician; and a theatre and screenwriting instructor. Parallel to all this (because one has to be able to afford groceries), he has been a janitor, a delivery man of oh so many things; a car salesman; a truck and bus driver; and too many other crappy jobs to mention here. He also became an old new dad at the age of 40. For the next two or three 50 years still to come, he would like to focus on creative projects and on his family.

Mylène Mondou
Illustrator
At 30, Mylène Mondou has already done three exhibitions with the La Branche culturelle organisation (formerly Société culturelle du Pavillon des jardins) in Brownsburg-Chatham.
Artist at heart, she feeds on colours, dreams and the imagination, through the daily concoction of a new world. Equipped with pencils, brushes and an array of moods, she takes pleasure in devising a world, her own, and shaping it into a tangible two-dimensional universe.
She mixes mediums and refuses principles of art. She often likes to say there are no rules in creation, no limits and no restrictions.
Painter, illustrator, fantasy makeup artist for children, tattoo artist, muralist: she draws on everything that inspires her.
Art is a therapy and Mylène relishes expressing each of her feelings. Is it an unreasonable dream to aim to be fulfilled through such a colourful path? No dream is too grand.

Sophie Auclair
Translator
Bilingual in French and in English, Sophie aspires to depict and understand the different worlds she’s inhabited in their own native language. Her work crosses the boundaries between cultural reporting, social critique and fictional endeavours, and her commentaries recognize the importance of history, politics and feminism, along with the post-modern permutations of film, fashion, photography and popular music. Her fiction writing takes the shape of satire, short stories, loose and rhythmic poetry, and an upcoming first novel. It is a fictional universe not devoid of humour, where self-doubt and the brutal complications of sex and romance helplessly cohabit. She has been published in both languages in Canada. She currently offers translation, editing and proofreading services to public and private sector clients.

Her illustrations are used on posters, cushions, greeting cards and all sorts of other products sold throughout the province. She has also specialized in visual identity by creating strong and artistic brand images for companies.
